Brief background.
In the yr 2050, the sun unleashed a catastrophic surge of power into area, a wave of energy that may plunge our civilization into chaos for hundreds of years. Though predicted for years by the scientific group, their warnings were ignored by the world leaders that instead squabbled over petty territorial considerations.
When the wave of vitality struck the earth, a storm of radioactive particles blanketed the ambiance in a lethal, carcinogenic fog. The fog killed indiscriminately… the younger, outdated, wealthy and poor all fell in equal measure. Only those that had heeded the warnings and brought shelter in abandoned bunkers have been spared.
