The Diercke World Atlas for Android: The classic among school atlases now digitally “on all levels”.
All maps can be broken down into layers so that each user can put together his own map. This makes the Diercke World Atlas interactive. The legend of the maps adapts automatically to the selected levels - so only what can actually be seen on the map is displayed here.
The free app contains four maps from the current Diercke World Atlas for free and permanent Use. The complete atlas content can be activated as an annual license by purchasing a license on the website www.diercke.de/digital or in-app purchase.
The demo maps of the atlas can be accessed using the gear symbol and a Click on Licensing - Activate Demo and then click on the map symbol and then on free maps in an overview.
For physical maps (sample map "Germany - physical overview) there is a quiz game in which places and other entries on the map must be assigned to the correct position on the map.
With the easy-to-use measuring function, distances in the maps can be determined in no time at all.
The search function enables the Quick access to every (partial) term from the entire Diercke World Atlas.
In order to use all maps, an online connection is required for downloading. Please note that the size of this required download depends on the selected maps. We recommend using a WLAN connection.
An internet connection is required to activate the license (including the free version).
Before purchasing the license, please check whether your Device is compatible with the app. If you are not offered to install the app, your tablet is unfortunately not compatible. At least version 3.0 of the graphic interface OpenGL ES must be supported.
